1-8-1877

Mrs. Hannah Dewey the mother of the late Charles C. Dewey, of this place, died at her residence in Waupaca, Wisconsin on December 31st, in the eighty-second year of her age.  Mrs. Dewey was one of the earliest settlers in Waupaca, where she has lived for more than twenty years.  She was a lady of many estimable qualities of character.  She kept up a lively interest in Vermont affairs to the close of life, and was an interested reader of the Herald, a paper which she had taken a great many years.
