Cummings - Keenan

Miss Catherine Cummings, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cummings of Granger Street and John P. Keenan of Pittsfield, Mass. were married yesterday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Peter's Church by Rev. T. J. Henry.  Miss Margaret Cummings, a sister of the bride, was the bridesmaid and John Morrissy of this city acted as best man.  The bride was dressed in light blue silk poplin over blue taffeta silk and the bridesmaid's gown was of white navajo silk over blue taffeta.   Each wore a black picture hat and carried amethyst rosaries.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at the bride's home on Granger street.  The couple were the recipients of many gifts of silver, cut glass and linen and including a chest of silver from the attaches of the Berwick house, where the bride was formerly employed.  The couple received $100 in gold from the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Keenan of Pittsfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Keenan left yesterday afternoon for a trip to New York and Boston, after which they will reside in Pittsfield.

Among those from out of town who attended the wedding were John A. Keenan and son Thomas of Pittsfield, Mrs. T. Kennedy and daughter, Miss Nellie Kennedy, and Mrs. P. Clark of Holyoke, Mass., D. Dumford and Francis Cummings of Boston, and Charles and Michael Cummings of Albany, N.Y.
